The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That should be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform your assessment.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
